Ner D'Voqt (['nɛɾ 'd. vɑkt])

Ner is an imposing and intimidating figure.

His dark red skin is marked with surprisingly delicate golden tattoos that swirl like clouds or crashing waves. His white-blond hair is shaved at the back and sides, leaving only a small pony-tail at the crown on his head. Two horns rise from his hairline, though one is cut at the tip—a reminder of one too many close calls—which does little to soften his appearance. Ner has narrow, piercing, golden eyes which hold a stern, almost cruel intensity, further framed by thick, wild eyebrows that seem to furrow naturally. His nose is high and defined, and his jaw squared. His lips are thin, but his mouth conceals a set of extra-pointed canines, lending him a faintly predatory edge to his expression.

Ner was a steadfast and disciplined Jedi, embodying a level of seriousness and responsibility uncommon among Devaronian males. His well-grounded nature made him a strong mentor, providing his Padawans with structure and support. He was highly focused, never one to be distracted by frivolities, and carried himself with an air of quiet confidence. His deep dedication to martial training made him a formidable combatant, and he instilled in his Padawans the importance of skill, strategy, and discipline. Unlike many of his kin, he was deeply committed to duty and mentorship, showing patience and care in guiding his students' development. Though stern in demeanour, he was not unkind—his firm hand was balanced by an understanding nature that allowed him to see the strengths and struggles of those around him.

Ner’s rigid mindset sometimes made him inflexible, and he could be slow to adapt to unconventional solutions or approaches that deviated from his structured way of thinking. His seriousness, while a strength, also meant he had little tolerance for nonsense, which could make him seem overly severe or distant to those who didn’t know him well. He was incredibly self-disciplined, but this also made him demanding of others, expecting the same level of dedication and focus from his peers. His intense focus on martial training and combat, while making him a skilled warrior, sometimes overshadowed other aspects of Jedi teachings, leading him to occasionally undervalue diplomacy or more nuanced approaches to conflict resolution.
