Challengia

The nucleus around which Pangiopolis formed, Challengia is a micro-city located in the very heart of the colossal metropolis. It is dominated by the ancient, carved-stone, open-air colosseum at its center and the district surrounding and serving it.

Home to only a few thousand people within the continent-spanning urban society, it is a place that everyone wants the chance to visit, but few ever rise to the challenge of an invitation. (Like Wembly or the Met Gala.) The micro-city lives in service to artists and the arts, and the colosseum is where people from across Pangiopolis come to listen to artists debate and argue about art and culture.

Challengia's primary export is spectacle. Artists from every walk of life and every corner of the landmass will devote their entire lives, their careers, their very souls to being offered an opportunity to perform in a spectacle at the colosseum. Once there, they are judged by the crowds for their ability not only to drive the discussion of culture and creativity into new directions, but their ability to do so with as much drama and flair as possible.

This formula of public spectacle coupled with the elevation of creativity and culture has built the export of Challengia's spectacles—delivered live over the airwaves to every home—into a multi-trillion unit economic asset, thus making it competetive with more traditional media and entertainment sources across the continent.

Fans and haters alike eagerly await each fresh spectacle. Time between is filled with gossip and speculation over the next topic, guest appearences, storylines, and dirty tricks.
