Surcounty of Randleton
The Surcounty of Randleton lies to at the very north-western tip of the Grand Duchy of Canyndor where it borders with the Kingdom of Redoria. Randleton is the newest Surcounty to have been added to the Grand Duchy after having been conquered from Redoria by Grand Duke Tapani VII during the War of the Randles in aid to his cousin. The surcounty is mostly occupied by its namesake, the Randles, a series of undulating hills and small mountains. The capital of the Surcounty, Randleton, is nestled within these hills on the main route between Redoria in the north and Vilhma, and indeed, the rest of the Grand Duchy in the south. Due to the terrain of the region, most of the economy is from sheep herding, with more intensive industries including vineyards and even terraced farming being exclusive to only the richest of landowners in the region who are often within close proximity to population centres. As such, much of the region is significantly poorer than many of the other surcounties of the grand duchy.
