Founder's Day

Founder's Day.
  The second holiday.
Founder's Day is celebrated during the month of May, and focuses on the many founders of the countries of Opron, Stale, Aswary, Yesmos and Pagrad, with Uthesh not included due to the fact that Uthesh was established from the remaining land left behind by the other countries that came before.
The holiday also celebrates the founders of many of the large and well-known cities across the continent, three of them being Opron Center, Home and even the city of Highwire which is located in Aswary. This holiday was not first established in the seventeen-hundreds or sixteen-hundreds, but rather in the much earlier known history when the countries were first founded by their respective races such as Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, Kitsune, Elves and others.
It is a very popular holiday across the county.
And it too holds it's share of traditions.
It is common for this holiday to hold a large nightly fireworks show in the largest city, especially accompanied with historic and vigorous music playing in the background, especially music from the early centuries that followed the establishment and founding of the countries and cities of Opron and Aswary. It is also common for participants to hold cookouts, picnics and even to have their own smaller family-hosted firework shows, although it is known to be somewhat hard to purchase these goods from any vendors across the country due to their potential dangers and damages if they are not handled safely. Parades and small fairs are also common for the holiday, though they are sometimes held in the form of small backyard parties and other get-togethers hosted for friends and families. Another type of well-known tradition is flying the flags of the city or country of habitation at the respective capital building of that country or city. This particular tradition is followed every year in Opron's two capital cities of Home in Kitsune County and Opron Center in Garden County, the largest of the two counties in the country of the Humans and Kitsune in the early years of Rethium's established nations.
Also a common sight for this holiday are city-established plays and performances that depict the various histories of many of the well-known cities and the individuals who founded and supported them through the years. These plays are usually held in parks or even major city establishments such as banks, the capital buildings and even schools or other establishments. Three of these well-known individuals are the Kitsune Hisashi "Long Lived", Mariko "Village Child" and Yuichi Yori "Brave Public Servant" who are believed to be major figures in the founding of Home in Kitsune County, who were in the same group as Michi Minori, the Kitsune after which the Minorian Mountains were named that separated Opron from neighboring Uthesh and Stale. Thus, these three Kitsune are some of the most well-known and celebrated individuals of Founders Day, along with so many other figures from so many other locations.
