Zombies are slow, relentless undead created when necromantic magic reanimates a corpse, turning it into a mindless servitor that obeys its creator’s will without hesitation. They retain scraps of what they were in life in the form of tattered clothes and half-rotten flesh, but their personality and free will are utterly gone
Basic Information
Anatomy
A typical zombie is a bloated, half-decayed corpse whose flesh hangs in tatters over exposed bone. The body often still wears its burial shroud, uniform, or common clothes, now stained, torn, and crawling with insects, and it carries a thick stench of rot that precedes it in dark corridors and graveyards.
Though slow and clumsy, zombies are notoriously hard to put down; their necromantic resilience lets them sometimes shrug off what should be a killing blow and stagger back to their feet with a single spark of unlife remaining. As undead, they feel no pain, ignore exhaustion, are unaffected by poison, and see easily in darkness, making them well suited to serve in tombs, crypts, and other lightless lairs.

Ecology and Habitats
Most zombies are raised from common humanoid corpses by spells such as animate dead, though powerful necromancers and dark rituals can twist ogres, giants, and other creatures into larger, more dangerous zombie forms. They are commonly found in graveyards, battlefields, and cursed ruins, where they stand as tireless guardians over their master’s domain or wander restlessly until commanded.
Behaviour
Zombies are nearly mindless and follow the simplest possible interpretation of their creator’s commands, shuffling toward targets in a straight line without concern for danger or tactics. They attack until destroyed, showing no fear, no mercy, and no instinct for self-preservation, making them ideal expendable guards, shock troops, or distractions for more cunning foes.
