The Queen of Ash
The Queen of Ash
Dreadlord of the Fallen Monastery
The Dreadlord known as the Queen of Ash is a being of withering majesty, the sovereign of a realm where smoke coils like fog over scorched earth and shadows take breath. Her domain in The Shadowfell encircles The Fallen Monastery, a ruin of blackened spires and broken bells where the wind rings with memories of burned prayers.
Once a saint of light or war—records differ—she was consumed by the fire she swore to master. Now her throne is a mound of soot and bone, her crown a halo of emberfire that never dies. Her courtiers are the Sable Choir: pale echoes who sing mourning hymns over the graves of forgotten gods. The Queen of Ash commands both reverence and dread, her power lying not in flame’s heat but in what it leaves behind—the silence after ruin, the stillness after all has burned.
Her recent pact with The Prince of Frost is a paradox of opposites: ash and ice, cinder and rime. Together they have bent the seasons themselves, their armies of frost-touched shades and sorrowborn fire-spirits laying siege to the capital of the Fey Winter Court. Even the proud Sindar Elves whisper her name in terror, for her ashes fall wherever their banners are lowered. To defy her is to invite erasure, not death—for nothing is truly dead in her realm, only remembered by the ash.
