Pale Maw Ogres
These hulking brutes are ogres who have smeared their thick hides with chalk and ash until their skin gleams bone-white in the dark. The powder clings to their hair, their tusks, even the cracks of their scars, giving them a ghostly sheen under torchlight. Their eyes burn red in the pallor, and when they roar, chalk dust billows from their mouths like smoke from a grave pit. Some say they do it to mimic the spirits that haunt the cave—others say they do it to become them.
