Inspiration: Heavily inspired by TF2, with my own take on it

Possibly minimal ammo economy, at least for Engineer and maybe Medic

Payload Defense

The nine Mercs know each other and have fought each other many many times for money. These games are mostly clones to them.

PVP modes
Highlander: 1 of each merc only on each team

8 v 1: 1 side only 1 class, the other side any class, 8 max

Class war: 1 merc vs. 1 merc

PVE

Engineer Nest: Players fight against modified Engineers.

One big guy: A powerful unit with all the other mercs fighting to defeat them

While the Mercs each tend to have a weapon that fits their type, It doesn't mean they don't share certain weapons, like pistols, shotguns, and certain melee weapons

Scout - Baseball Player

Overview: The Baseball Player is the fastest merc by far, jumping up and down and easily outsprinting the other 8 mercs. His main ability is with his melee weapons, he can parry rockets, fireballs, grenades, and other baseballs thrown at him.

Baseball bats, The Scout's main focus is being able to parry projectiles, though not good enough to parry bullets.

Baseball Bat and baseball, hitting an enemy marks them and give a speed boost to the Scout

Zen Zola: Drinking this, The scout gains the ability to automatically parry any projectile near him.

Heart Attack in a Can: Drinking this, the scout's movement speed and jumping ability is increased, but at the cost to his health. He constantly loses health, which can only be stopped by taking damage or dealing some. However, with this active, the normal Healthkits can overheal him, giving him even more health to work with.

He can drink a sort of antidote to end the effect, or let it work its way through

Spy - Infiltrator

Overview: Sneaks around, cloaks, impersonates the enemy, sabotages the engineer's buildings

Wears a jumpsuit with high-tech combat armor

With this kit, the Infiltrator near-perfectly mimics one of the mercs on the other team or his own. To teammates, he has a face mask

Cloaking Device

The Infiltrator uses this device to go invisible, but likely cannot attack without breaking the cloak.

Infiltrator's pistol, often a last resort, but when disguised it shows up as the primary weapon of the disguised person

Knife

Melee: Knife for backstabbing, which can kill any of the mercenaries outright

Overview: He lays down Suppressive fire with his minigun

Cyberdog Gun: His gun has a dog brain, which can spot other enemies. Idk how useful it'd be but it'd be cool, maybe it's his old dog given new life

Grenade Machinegun: Take a page out of the Grenadier's book and use a bunch of small grenades to pepper an area. However, these grenades are incredibly easy for the Scout to parry.

Giant Buzzsaw: Why does this fire buzzsaws that bounce everywhere? I don't know
automatically shreds people who get too close, and the Heavy can slam it into the ground and speed forward on it

Medic - Medic (Lol)

Overview: Heals people, and he does a good job.

Collects a lot of organs, which can be used as healthkits for the other mercs, and some are modified into weapons

Healing Beam Gun, heals the other mercs, gives him healing points, possibly letting him either always critical hit or have both him and the merc be invulnerable to damage

Demoman - Grenadier

Overview: My man buries the enemy in explosives, and lays grenade traps around.

Grenade Machinegun: When you need to throw a lot of grenades in a general area really quickly. However, these grenades are incredibly easy for the Scout to parry.

Grenade on a Stick, or just oversized stick grenade, charge at the enemy and deal great damage to both himself and the enemy. After its explosive hit, it requires 'reloading', such as sacrificing explosive power or getting an ammo kit

Overview: Fires Rockets and can rocket jump. One of the simpler mercs

One Rocket Launcher that has a parachute in the back, they fire, then launch into the air.

Pyro - Flamer

Overview: He runs around with a flamethrower and a questionable mental state.

Possibly heals with fire damage and has to deal with temperature and heat points? idk

Incinerator, firing balls of fire which have longer range and burn longer, however they can be parried by the scout

Sticky Flamer, which has reduced range but burns for longer and sticks to surfaces, creating barriers of fire

Bee Sprayer, these passively seek out enemy targets to pester them to death

Fire Extinguisher, a blast of cryo that slows and freezes enemies

Motor Sword, a Sword shrouded in fire connected to a jury rigged flamer tank. Sets enemies on fire

Engineer - Engineer

Overview: He builds things, setting up turrets to deal damage, dispensers to heal and resupply, and teleporters to ease transport, either for simply quicker redeploy speed or allowing for flanking maneuvers.

Carries around metal and whatnot, which is how he builds his buildings

Turret: A gun to set down and it fires at enemies, simple

Dispenser: Resupplies health and ammo to allies

Teleporter: Two Way teleporter, it helps allies move faster, and any unfortunate peeps at the other end, the powerful energy blasts them into bits
