Fire Station, Police Station, robots being placed, possibly unwanted military occupation, an airport, scorpions coming out, radiation resistant monsters moving in

The Survivors

Ghoulfied, changed human soldiers now roaming freely, most rendered rambling madmen by the sudden disaster, attacking anyone that isn't them. A few survived though

An enemy member that survived the released disaster, realizing his people lied to him about simply just opening something and making it back to safety
