WordEmber 2025 Pledge

This marks my first attempts of writing 100K, 50K for my draft and 50K for my worldbuilding on WorldAnvil in the midst of my further planning using my outline.

I haven't done writing challenges or stacked up challenges before and I don't know what will happen but I'm not going to quit, definitely not for my first series.

Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy all the worldbuilding and look forward to the first book of the series!

Define The Scope for WorldEmber

Turns out I did the bingo card wroung but that's okay, now onto the scope for WorldEmber.

I'm deciding to focus on the history of Reosia and articles from WorldAnvil prompts or from my random mind.

World Inspiration

It took weeks to make my Pinterest board and my everything has to be perfect self proceeded to delete my first Pinterest board for the series then had to wait for the pins to to pop back up on my feed.

Don't do that fellow Pinterest board users!

Now each of the ten tribes are inspired by different real life tribes, ethnicities, and even genetic conditions and I couldn't pick one because why would I?

Down to the juicy part!

Alraalins -> Albinos and Melanesian

• I chose Tadahlia and Chikondi's inspiration first and found pictures for when they're young v. older and I was like, I never heard of Albinos as main characters so I picked for Alraalians to be Albino and later picked Melanesian as well for it to make sense why Tadahlia looks how she does
• Chikondi is Albino and Tadahlia is Melanesian
• Tadahlia is who is responible for turning For Osia from one book to six books because I became obcessed with her backstory and you can blame her for the female rage songs in the Spotify playlist...well most of them

Idontes -> Fulani, Tuareg, Tourareg

• I genuinely loved their braid patterns and traditional attire

Sulanies -> Tigray, Ethiopia

• I loved their facial and neck tattoos and of course their braid patterns

Alus -> East African, Amhara, Eritrean, Oromo

• I loved their cultures

Sedasues -> Sudanese, Somali

• They were eye catching

Khereeros -> Egyptian, Afghan, Armenian, Saidi

• Took the longest and I legit changed up the plot to not offend anyone
• Óttarr was picked first and who was the inspiration for choosing who I chose to represent the Khereeros

Telicisues -> Nigerian and Congolese

• The last I found inspiration for inspirated by my inspiration for Osia

Vibes of the Reosians

They live in unity but Khereeros are openly vicious and violent.

I won't lie, Sulanies and Sedasues will have initiation of sorts where they must take down a Khereero around the age of 13 to 16. Part of the Desert Region with the Idontes under the ruling of Alraalin. The Desert Region have the same vibes of the Khereeros but for different reasons.

Alus and Telicisues are the tribes that value peace and unity with all. They're the least close-minded. After the massacre, Doletia came along and sought to the values the Telicisues had except them and the Alus became close to others except Doletians sought protection from the Desert Region.
