Thurgumund's Fire

A flamethrower spell with variable duration and intensity.

Effect

This spell lasts for X rounds and, each round, deals Xd6 fire damage in a 30ft cone originating from the caster, where X is the caster level. The caster may choose to end the spell early. While mechanically the damage is dealt to a new and separate cone each turn, for roleplay purposes it should be remembered that this is a continuous cone of fire being swung around like a flamethrower; swinging it from one side of your friend to the other between turns may leave them singed!   When the spell is cast, the caster may choose to reduce the duration by Y turns to increase damage by Yd6, and vice versa.

Manifestation

Thurgumund's Fire generates an intense and lasting cone of brilliant flames from the caster's hands (or equivalent appendages).

Discovery

This spell was discovered in a strange and ancient dwarven spellbook in a ruined undercity on the world Aramil Galanodel came from. He brought this knowledge with him when he was transported to Renedge.
