Longnail, Hallownest

The Hallownest equivalent to the longsword. Typically forged as a single piece of metal, longnails traditionally lack crossguards, instead relying on the flared base of the blade to protect the hand. Longnails vary widely in shape, ranging from heavy wedge-shaped blades to slender and elegant designs. They tend to lean more heavily towards slashing attacks than longswords do.
