Necro Virus

The virus has a few ways of spreading, normally it is spread by the deployment of Agent NE7, it's a green gas that when inhaled kills victims with Cancer and extreme flu and after death, they reanimate as ravenous monsters devoid of humanity and morality but not consciousness. There can be variants that produce and emit Agent NE7 but the primary infection method from that point on is via a bite.   Teeth are mutated in a way that gives the victim fangs and when they bite into the victim administer a dose of Agent NE7 as well as a slew of highly dangerous bacteria because the corpse is a quickly regenerating rotten carcass that is host to the terrifying soup of bacteria.

Once infected, the victims depending on their body's durability have an average of 1-3 days before they turn when they come down with severe symptoms of flu and whatever other disease the Necrotic was carrying. Eventually, their body succumbs without Gene treatment and without cures for the plagues ailing them will die and then afterwards reanimate around 5 minutes after death where they become a ravenous Beast.   Stripped of the identity prior the Beast will go on to tear anything alive for food, whether it is animals, people or other mutants but rarely another Necrotic but can be seen doing so when starving. After a few weeks of infection, the Necrotic will be steadily mutating into a deformed fleshy monster where they'll continue developing into various mutants like Necrotic Spitters, Brutes, Stalkers, Screamers, and catchers and finally the infamous Necrotic Gargoyles.

Within the early stages of infection, it is pertinent that the infected visit a Gene Clinic where they are cured of the virus. if they cannot be reliably transported they are quickly killed to preserve the lives of others. presuming NEC-27 has been removed via Gene Therapy, the victim will likely spend a week or two being sick and slowly recovering from all the Hazards in their system. The Drug, Flush has also been a violent solution to extremely early infection as it causes extreme vomiting, excretion and sweating which has a chance of Reducing NEC-27 contamination to negligible levels and thus preventing the individual from turning into a Necrotic.

The Preferred way to prevent an Outbreak is Genetic Therapies that make the uninfected less susceptible to NEC-27 combined with absolute obliteration in any instance of an Early stage Necrotic outbreak. This means that a military sections off a zone and commits mass purging of infected individuals, ideally killing off confirmed infected individuals that have not turned yet in order to make the killing of turned victims easier.   In terms of fighting them, it is preferred to keep them at a distance and to wear gas masks and protective armour that makes biting harder with a handy melee weapon ready to go. The Two popular options are extendable spears and hand axes or maces in order to quickly engage Necrotics at a short distance. If the Necrotics are swarming, militaries prefer deploying large shields and propping guns in small gaps in the shield to create shield walls of guns normally in a testudo formation that makes it really hard for infected to take people out and need to depend on brutes to take out these formations.   if all else fails, the total firebombing of areas and flame throwers are always viable and valid solutions because the regenerating decomposed flesh of necrotic is extremely flammable, an inbuilt feature by their inventors to ensure that the infected can be purged by occupational forces more easily.

It is uncertain what created the Virus, 4th Reich Germany is often credited with the Viruses creation but it also has Great Russian involvement. To make things even more confusing American Corporate involvement was also prevalent with Chinese Disease Research Groups also contributing to the virus. It was the virus to win the war and despite the endless zombie media of the era before, the Governments of the world went on to employ Bio Warfare and Bio-Terrorism against the Allies.   As to be expected the Virus did spread and it wrecked many European, Middle Eastern and African Settlements, spreading throughout the pacific and Atlantic into the Americas. Thankfully the Zombie Apocalypse was somewhat cancelled but not by means people would prefer. Nuclear Holocaust prevented the necrotic Holocaust allowing the Fascistic Dominant powers of the world to gain control of the virus and use it as a weapon and tool of control against the massive wasteland populations and 'cull' them every so often with the plague.   Since the Viruses initial outbreak, many health reforms were implemented with NE7 Suppressor becoming a common drug you can buy at Pharmaceutical stores even if the Drug isn't a guaranteed cure. Despite being an everyday danger and a practically unstoppable virus, it has played a pretty small role in history thus far, and this is because of the Military and their ability to quarantine and purge the virus and sometimes the population it's affecting to stop it.   In Europe, the Virus is far worse with giant hordes occasionally wiping out Russian Occupied cities and large population centres with a few instances of getting into Russia and China and incurring hundreds of millions of casualties at a time. If not for the Gene Theraputic Treatments, the Virus likely would've overwhelmed the Americas and wiped out a lot more cities then it has and proved a greater threat to Humanity.   Now it is just another part of this Bloody Chapter, in humanity's history.

Shaun of the Dead was a light-hearted look at the Apocalypse and in Neonphage a lot of their comedy actually became somewhat true. After the initial outbreaks, the Zombies became giant marketing tools. Tools that market self-defence with not only just guns but now Melee weapons. They market the overwhelming Police State as justification for its existence because without these dystopian controls and technologies, how else could they stop the outbreaks? (They Caused but hey, Details)   Of course, Zombie media now gets quadruple attention just like movies about Wars now, and they are extremely favoured in downfall films. When Politics is less favourable theres nothing quite like an outbreak to unify the voting base behind some insane new security measure which of course, there is no "evidence of them releasing it". Their ability to use it as an Anti Rebel tool also makes resistance difficult because now prospecting Rebels have to consider the possibility of being turned into a flesh-eating monster only to be wiped out by the military-industrial complex.   Finally, the Game shows aka huge use of these infected, creating controlled Outbreaks in isolated highly fortified facilities for people's amusement, especially in the scholarship games where they'll use the zombies as something to chase competing students with and make comedy montages and replays of their deaths to laugh about the 'stupidity' of the person who just got shredded on live TV. In short, Marketing firms never got a better boon than the possible annihilation of the Human race.   Money money money, death always sells.
