Elkforde

Elkforde is a town nestled in the arms of steep hills following the slow and winding path of the Ebelm river. The Ebelm is a large and gentle river with generous sandbanks that fuel glass artisans and provide nutrients to the farmers along the banks when it floods. Due to a Druidic Circle in the vicinity, wood cutting is limited and large barges bring up coal from Bridgeborn instead to fuel the furnaces. Nearby Points of Interest.   Most travel goes by boat up or down the river here, though there is a singular road, Oku Road, which cuts up and over the surrounding hills northish. Oku Road is rapidly enveloped in the Celebes Bog and travel is not safe nor efficient. However, traders will occasionally run heavily guarded caravans North to do trade with the distant city of Red Cashe. They speak of great spirals and gleaming citadels, of Dragonborn who will gladly trade fine steels and gems for the glass from Elkforde.
