Postcards From Bo Kae

Jolie Penn initially thought the pretty bracelet she found at a car boot sale was a bargain. Then the Intergalactic Justice Squad came knocking on her door, placed her under arrest and took her to their planet to stand trial for theft.   It seems these aliens have never heard of "innocent until proven guilty". A crime was committed, and someone has to pay, no matter how circumstantial the evidence. Jolie's got off quite lightly with a fine, but she can't leave Bo Kae until it's paid off, or the real thief is identified. Goodbye university plans; hello working on another planet.   Despite missing her family, Jolie's having quite the adventure. She's found a friendly roommate, new friends, and a job with potentially lucrative career opportunities tied to Bo Kae's unique traditions.
