Gallak (Plural: gallax)
The gallak. No creature is quite like it, whether that be a good thing or a bad thing.
The gallak is recognizable for its large tufts of fur about the chest and back of the neck, its round, helix-shaped antlers either side of its head, and it being a quadruped. If you're looking for a gallak, it's a good idea to keep an eye on nearby objects. If they start inexplicably levitating, then there's probably a gallak nearby.
Gallax, like all mammalian species, have four eyes (two on each side of its head).
Basic Information
Anatomy
Sporting two antlers, four feet, four eyes, and large tufts of fur on the chest and back of the neck, the Gallak is easily recognizable.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Eats grasses, moss, lichen, leaves, most plant matter.
Biological Cycle
During the colder months of the wet season, Gallaks shed their antlers, which then grow back in the dry season.
Additional Information
Domestication
Domestic gallax are usually found with tribes of giants, serving as friends and food sources. They aren't too different from their wild species, although most aren't quite as skittish. When they notice you, that is.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Antlers can be used for tools, fur for padding and clothes-making. Their meat is decently filling.
Average Intelligence
Hilariously (and occasionally annoyingly) absent-minded
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Likely unbeknownst to the creature itself, it has the ability to levitate small objects around it. Whether this is caused by a Gallak's absent-mindedness, or in spite of it, we may never know for certain.
Average Height
3.2 - 4.2 ft.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Typically white or grey fur, although some are a more brown or red color.
