Description
This young half eleven-man has the demeanour of a swashbuckler but bearing of a prince. His sharp clothes and neatly manicured hair seems to mark a softness but calloused hands and almost hidden scars reveal the roughness beneath. In fine blue silks he strides around, a small circlet upon his brow marks him out a member of the Corsair Royalty, the emblem of the Corsair House Gen sitting in the centre. He moves with an ease and speed that matches the sharpness of his tongue and the dance of his wit. Often surrounded by genuine laughter from rough pirates or simpering courtiers Blackdog is hard to miss.
Character notes
The last possible heir to the Gen throne, a result of the Corsair King Gen's tryst with a lady of House Gen, Blackdog had resigned himself to a life as a lesser corsair. He was making a living flying under the banner of the illustrious Blackdog passed down to him by his mentor, he was popular among his crew and fellow corsairs. He aimed only to curry enough favour to weather the ever-turning politics of the houses so he and his crew would remain safe. His fates changed as the politics in House Gen became violent. His sisters, both higher in the pecking order and line to the throne tried to assassinate their father the Corsair King, apparently at the behest of the Lady Of Burned Silk's cult. He fought against them, saving his father and with the help of the crew of the Firehawk, expelled them from the compound into pushed them into lives as fugitives.
History with players
They first met 'Blacksdog' on the edge of Rasht, he was attempting to raid them. They engaged in banter as is common among pirates but he saw that Isolde held pins of both House Gen and the Skull Burners. Using this he offered them sanctuary from a coming storm in the House Gen compound. He sought to aid Isolde in locating Carmilla, taking her and the other adventurers to a communications point to enable them to talk using magic. His father arrived along with his younger sister who accused him of consorting with the enemy, this plan turned bad for her though as the group were able to show how he was helping House Gen gain standing with the more powerful House Tellare. Confronted about this and pushed on the fact that members of her crew were worshipping the banned god 'The lady of burnt silk' the sister turned violent. This exposed the plot against the corsair king but wounded him in the process. Together they fortified a safe house and stood against the might of the older sister who sought to finish off the King while he was wounded and the storm prevented the truth of their treachery from being heard. Last they saw Blackdog was now the full heir to the Corsair Kings throne and father and son were seeking out adventure.
