Pole of inaccessibility
Point Nemo is the place in the ocean, the furthest away from land. It's a so called Pole of Inaccesablilty, those also exist on earth's continents where we can identify points furthers away from sea. Point Nemo is located in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean. From Point Nemo it is 1670 nm to the nearest land. These lands being Pandora Islet one of the Pitcairn Islands, Motu Nui next to Easter Island and Maher Island off the coast of Antarctica.
Something about Point Nemo always fills me with existential dread. I can't help imagining myself stranded there in a rowboat, miles and miles from land with no chance of anyone stumbling across me. D:
