The Führer's Final Hope
In the closing days of WWII the Führer assembles a team of 'highly skilled' individuals for a critical mission that will determine the fate of the Reich. He wishes to make contact with the Deep Ones of ether Ahu-Y'hloa or K'toch. In order to achieve this, Hitler has intrusted the Reichsführer (and SS Head), Heinrich Himmler with overseeing this special operation. Thus SS-Deployment Deep Blue was created under the Ahnenerbe branch of the SS.
The team comprised of Wilhelm H. Meissner, the sole survivor of the disastrous previous mission, Operation Elven Freedom. He is a member of the secretive Thule Society and Dionysian Club, as well as a frequent contributor to Das Reich newspaper. Meissner's unique expertise as a renowned Occultist caught the eye of the Ahnenerbe-SS and he was recruited as the missions Translater with the honorary rank of SS-Untersturmführer (Second Lieutenant).
