Temple of the Tiger

Architecture

The temple of the tiger god is a massive structure in its own right, surrounded by buildings for housing and storage, gardens, and other parts of the larger temple complex. The temple itself is a large concrete and steel structure surrounded by a greenhouse constructed in the art deco style atop the ruins of the previous tiger god's temple, following in the tradition of the tigers that each must construct their temple in the same location.   The greenhouse structure surrounding the primary temple has luxury gardens filled with a wide array of tropical and semi-tropical plant life, being most well known for its extensive gardens of hallucinogenic and toxic flora used in rituals, spells, and traditions steeped in millennia of history. Many of these plants, while beautiful, are toxic to the touch. This area also houses food production facilities for the temple complex, such as farms and hydroponic food gardens alongside atriums for bees and silkworms.   The temple itself has been likened to a labyrinth by many of its visitors, with twisting hallways, near nonsensical paths up and down stairs and halls to get from one room to the next, and numerous false doors and shortcuts. Many rooms and passages within the temple are also connected by hidden pathways, secret entrances, and service doors for Svrar's priesthood and servants.

Defenses

Beyond just its confusing and maze-like structure, Svrar's temple is protected by a number of illusions and spells that make navigating it nearly impossible if one does not have proper knowledge of the structure as well as blessings directly from the tiger god. These illusions make the already dizzying navigation process even more abstract and confusing by causing rooms to appear to visually repeat, hallways to twist in unnatural fashions, and certain sections of the temple to seem to overlap even when one is walking in a straight path. The illusions only get more intense the further one delves into the temple itself and closer to Svrar's own chambers, with a few notable exceptions- edges of the temple also have pockets of this increased illusion, which can commonly make it seem as though one is getting closer to the center, when in actuality they are walking in circles.   This illusionary defense is paired with other systems, such as a rotating cast of guards, free-roaming tigers, and various traps to catch any intruders, as well as Svrar's own frequent wanderings of the temple grounds, immune to its dizzying effects. It is extremely likely that high ranking priests among Svrar's cult may also be blessed with immunity to the illusions, allowing them to navigate and fight with ease when intruders cannot. Members of Svrar's priesthood, employees, servants, and visitors are not often given boons to freely wander the grounds, and as such must navigate by way if handrails and safety lines in desegnated areas.
