Disaster of Depths
Disaster of Depths is a bit of a mystery. It's commonly known that it exists, however there aren't any concrete descriptions or recordings of it. The damages it caused has also became vast enough that even the mundanes have began to take notice, although the explanations they found for it are equally mundane (if incorrect).
Its elimination is considered to be a top priority for regional magical security agencies. It is also considered to be possibly the only thing that could make the Japanese Supernatural Public Safety Commission, North Korean Ministry of Supernatural Security and the South Korean Agency for Supernatural Defense Planning cooperate.
Despite that, and despite years of rather ravenous activity, there are yet to get a single confirmed picture of the Disaster, much less plan an attack on it.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Its power is unknown. It is believed that certain degree of camouflage/jamming ability is in play, as no recordings of its attack were made, and no calls for help were ever recorded. Instead, ships are simply found drifting around, empty. The regular air patrols over the area has led to no sightings over the past decades of its activity.

Personal history
Disaster of Depths is believed to be one of the oldest consistently active Disaster, with its initial predations dated at around 1950s. Its activity, however, began to truly ramp up around 1982. The activity suddenly spiked around 2017, a fact that's lasting to this day, reasons for it unknown. Despite numerous attempts to learn more about it, all that the local magical agencies have to go by are statistics of its attacks. Even the designation of the 'Disaster of Depths' is made-up, as no one knows how it refers to itself. In fact, even its nature as a god is somewhat up to question.
About one hundred ships yearly (most of them small fishing boats) are found floating in the Sea of Japan, their crews having vanished. The ships from North Korea (due to their generally lower technological level) aren't covered by the Censor's Veil, instead being displayed as a plague of ghost ships supposedly caused by being lost at sea or abandoned due to technological malfunctions. This is an incorrect statement, as the reason for that is the Disaster of Depths and there are no survivors, only Shades.
The attacked ships from other origins (where it cannot be easily explained with mechanical failures), the ship instead returns to the port, crewed entirely by Shades, the actual people being devoured by the Disaster of Depths.
