White Stag
The White Stag is a stunning creature to behold, its antlers wide and aglow with pure whiteness, its fur a soft, silky smooth white, and its eyes pure and innocent, radiating serenity. It is as much a wonder to behold as it is a blessing upon the land. Wherever the White Stag walks, the earth seems purified, and plants grow lushly in its wake. Legend has it that the tears of a White Stag can cure any ailment, and its horns are sharp and strong enough to pierce any armor. However, it is an elusive creature, and few ever get to witness it.
The prerequisites for its appearance are many, and even if they are perfect, the White Stag often remains hidden, as if sensing when it is being sought. The White Stag is said to appear only to those it chooses or is happened upon by pure chance. It most often emerges in the middle of the day or night, its radiant whiteness illuminating its surroundings as it comes out of hiding to drink and graze. The White Stag only appears when nature is still and the winds are calm or absent. It seems that even animals calm down with its passing, and the very sight of it eases the minds of even the worst aggressors.
There are folktales about a time when a hunter succeeded in finding the White Stag, having hunted it all his life, yet he stayed his hand, unable to harm it due to its beauty and benevolence.
Around the world, few cultures do not view the White Stag as a blessing and a miracle. Druids especially revere it, as do the followers of the Old Gods. Yet, there will always be those who are unhinged and wish to capture it for its bounties. However, as elusive as the stag is, and being able to practically sense any presence, the only thing rarer than hearing of its appearance is hearing of its capture.
