In the Beginning - The Story of the 3 Goddesses

In the beginning when the universe was created nothing existed except silence and the darkness in the void. One day something unusual happened, a ripple came from nothing in the darkness which created light. The light spread across the void until the darkness pushed back. This event has been called “The Becoming” since this formed the creation of the Goddess of Light and the Goddess of Darkness.   Many years passed as both Goddess developed a synergy together as they become close friends.   In time the Goddesses decided to bring their power together to form a different reality. This reality is what is known as the world today. Once the reality was created another ripple happened, and the Goddess of Land was created.   Not understanding how the ripple came into being the Goddesses begin to search the void for the answer only to end up with more questions than answers.   The Goddess of Light suggested that they should create beings that would assist them in the journey for information of the phenomenon that caused the ripple. It is said that the 3 Goddesses created the first living beings in the realm. Known as the creators' races the people included Humans, Elves, Dragonborn, and Gnomes. As time marched on genetic mutations cause the creations of multiple other races.   After the creation of the races, the Goddesses visited the realm frequently and taught their children about the history of the realm and their place in creation. It is rumored that one day a human mage was very close to finding out about the cause of the ripples and he mysterious died, and his body was never recovered. The mages death cause the Goddesses to go into a panic and deep depression as they tried to find the missing mage throughout the void.   Never finding the mage the Goddess of Light determined that none of the creator races should have to experience the pain and grief that they felt with the loss of the mage. So she created a spell that would not let anyone in the realms die or to become missing.   After casting the spell of forgiving death, the Goddesses never came back to the realms. As time marched out things have changed with death in the realms.
