Master Apothecary

Itotia has good reason to boast of her years of apprenticeship under Master Vaneesa: not many make it past the first Apothecary Trials, let alone the grueling day to day work of an apothecary, with the knowledge that they will take at least 200 years before they can start their own pharmacy. 
 

Lakamha's Finest Master

Vaneesa owns and runs the main pharmacy in the town of Lakamha. She has been titled as a Master for just over 100 years, with another 100 years before that as an Apothecary. She started her apprentice training as soon as she could say 'Sparcatchling tee leaves are good for healing eczema'. Useful as she was known to have a difficult eczema problem on her feet since young.   

What The Title Means

Master is the highest title an Apothecary can gain. Only after centuries of dedication from apprentice apothecary to apothecary can they gain the title of master apothecary. Not all apothecaries gain the title. they can be an apothecary to create their own standalone apothecary (pharmacy), and have apprentices train under them. 
 

What the Job Entails

The Master Apothecary job differs from an Apothecary in that they have an additional job of sharing tests with the Master Apothecary's of the other peoples in Lakamha. 
  Master apothecaries have access to all of the Apothecary Guild building and run it. They organise the high apothecary council (apothecaries of all 3 peoples) meetings and make sure all fatal experiments are documented, eliminated (or placed in the vault of do-not-take-out-if-you-want-us-all-to-live') and never again utilised. Masters are the only ones that can train in new monsters / creatures. Masters give the stamp of approval for any medical (or veterinary) procedure to be world-wide accepted. 
  Master Apothecaries have to travel the world of Realm-R at least twice a decade. Once to visit the main populous of every people group (as well as the Apothecary Guild Tower) and once to visit all the Guardians of Keystones. Here they wrestle with the Ancient Knowledge left from the Worldbuilders via practical advanced challenges handed out by the Guardians - some of which require many years to fulfil.

The Apothecary Guild

There is a specific Apothecary guild which Pharmacies may join. 
 
  • Apprentices have a temporary placing within the lower floors (the underground council room & lower level libraries are for all, the ground level reception room & cafe, level 2 is specific for apprentices only, level 1 is mostly used by apprentices, but open for all apothecaries).
  • Apothecaries have access to most levels of the tower
  • Master Apothecaries have access to everything, including the 'experimental vault' 'the vault of do-not-take-out-if-you-want-us-all-to-live' and the 'vault of Ancient knowledge'
  Monsters are housed here as well (apothecaries serve as both doctors and vets in Realm-R), for recuperation, analysis or just being fluffy mascots for the apprentices. They are most often collected or bred here to help the apothecary apprentices understand how to look after and treat them.
