Fighter: Shieldbearer
Shieldbearers have a long-standing tradition of protecting their allies and wearing down their enemies, dating back to ancient times. However, their numbers have dwindled with the advancement of firearms. Nevertheless, Dwarfs and Corvans continue to rely on them as the core of their military forces. Ultemacian Humans are also renowned for their sword and shield skills, as the home of the famous Rodeleros. Regarding adventuring parties, Shieldbearers are highly prized for their skill in self-defense and protecting their comrades.
Once you reach 10th level, you count as one size larger when attempting to Shove creatures, and two sizes larger than you at 18th.
Once you reach 10th level, this radius becomes 10ft.
You may use this ability a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You regain all uses after completing a Short or Long Rest.
3rd Level - Shields Up!
Whenever you finish a Short or Long Rest, you also gain a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to your Fighter level + your Constitution modifier (if positive).3rd Level - Battering Ram
You've improved your usage of your shield as a weapon. Whenever you Shove a creature and are wielding a Shield, you may push the target 15ft instead of 5ft.Once you reach 10th level, you count as one size larger when attempting to Shove creatures, and two sizes larger than you at 18th.
3rd Level - Shield Wall
You learn better area control and your mere presence becomes a hazard to foes. Hostile creatures treat all terrain within 5ft of you as Difficult Terrain.Once you reach 10th level, this radius becomes 10ft.
7th Level - Defender
When you or an ally within your Shield Wall radius are targeted by a weapon attack or are forced to make a Dexterity saving throw, you may use your Reaction to give one creature of your choice a +5 to their AC and Dexterity Saving Throw rolls. This effect lasts until the start of your next turn or until they leave your Shield Wall radius.You may use this ability a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You regain all uses after completing a Short or Long Rest.
10th Level - Strike Back
When you take damage from a weapon attack that causes you to lose Temporary Hit Points and are wielding a Shield, the source of that attack takes Bludgeoning damage equal to the amount of Temporary Hit Points they caused you to lose.15th Level - Steel Resolve
You may add your Shield's AC Bonus to any Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma Saving Throws you make while wielding a Shield.18th Level - No Holding Back!
You may, as a Bonus Action, enter a state of mental and physical resolve. You gain the benefits from your Shield's Up! Feature and, for the next minute:- You are resistant to all damage except for Force damage.
- Your Strike Back Feature also triggers when you lose Hit Points.
