Canyon of Flames
Prior to being formed by Ignis's magic, this place was known as the Desolate Lands of Fire. The Canyon of Flames is located North of the West-Half of the Cardinal Plains. Its borders on the West connect to the Dividing Forest, while its borders on the East connect to the Westside Mountains. Further North through the Canyon of Flames is the Dividing Canyon (Corrupt Canyon).
Geography
Large rock walls which change colouration depending on temperature rise upward, acting like borders for the canyon. The canyon spans across a range of 144km2. Across the canyon walls, a few metres from where the temperature rises, are dens for inhabitants to rest within. Tunnel ways are also built into the canyon walls which lead to heated rock pools. At the centre of the canyon is a large opening, with a strangely shaped, volcano-like formation. From the front of that formation is the entrance to Ignis's den.
Fauna & Flora
The only endemic flora in the Canyon of Flames is Cinderbrier, which looks like a bundle of burnt bramble, though is delicate and soft to the touch. The warmth caught in Cinderbrier often acts as a comforting sleeping agent. Small endemic fauna in the Canyon of Flames consists of small insects which can withstand the intense heat. Inhabitants of the canyon are mostly dragons, though others often call this place home too, despite the heat.
