Amelia's Cavern

Purpose / Function

This is the home of Nithrin (Amelia) and her late husband Iranthel.

Architecture

Main chamber:  This has the perch which is where Nithrin would rest in her dragon form. It's also the area her followers would interact with her. (Path to the left: Laboratory, Prison, Library, and Master Bedroom; Right: Iranthel's Workshop (DC 25 Investigation/Perception) )   Laboratory: Many different instruments and reagents litter multiple tables and shelves. The floor is caked with blood, most of it centered in the right corner of the room near an altar.   Prison: Different cages, rooms, and torture implements.   Library: The rough walls have bookshelves hewn in them and there's an exorbitant amount of books. They range from small journals to massive tomes fit to be held by a massive dragon.
  • DC 15 History on the recent history of Utagosh, Safel, and the Hinterlands
  • DC 20 Personal journals of powerful archmages and other scholars looking into the disappearance of dragons
  • DC 25 Different personal journals of Nithrin depicting her rise in power, war with the first lord giants, and her infatuation with Iranthel
  • DC 30 History on the Sundering, the War of the Blades, and Origins of the Gods
Master Bedroom: Where the dragon horde is in a MASSIVE part of the cavern. In the center is a massive bed with two side tables that seems like it hasn't seen a person lying in it for months. One table has partially melted candles and a single book that has a cracked leather cover (holds different theories and thought experiments on reversing the effects of lichdom and what will happen with the soul). The other table has a small drawn picture of Iranthel overlooking a landscape. (Horde is Here)   Iranthel's Workshop: A single table in an almost empty room holds many different artifacts of unknown origins with papers littered all over the floor. (DC 10 The notes are in the handwriting of Iranthel and are different experiments, all failed, on trying to convert the trapped soul of a Lich back into human.  DC 20 Some notes are depicting on how to break through the scrying resistance of artifacts. Keeps mentioning something called The Cipher)
