Mr. Mysteries' So-True Histories Episode 7 - Paleozoic Era
Hello Eager Learners! I am Mr. Mysteries, formerly of the Learned League, and this is my KARENcast series on the history of our Reality, Reality 69.
So, now that we have finally gotten to the point of having a planet with early organic life and large amounts of water, we finally begin to see the emergence of things that we would instinctually see as life.
The Paleozoic Era is the earliest of three geologic eras of the Phanerozoic Eon. It is the longest of the Phanerozoic eras, lasting from 541 to 251.902 million years ago, and is subdivided into six geologic periods: the Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, and Permian.
<A long monologue follow detailing aspects of the rise of life from the Cambrian Explosion on through the great Permian extinction event.>
