Devil
“Devils need no reason to stir up chaos. The chaos itself is their reward.”

Overview
Devils are Ravnica's pranksters, if pranking was far more nefarious and deadly. Cackling through the streets these beings delight in causing chaos through destruction and manipulation. Devils thrive on lies, deceit, and the subtle art of temptation, but never shy away from causing physical destruction and harm.
Devils have an unmistakably sinister appearance that reflects their nefarious nature. While forms vary wildely, many possess classic infernal traits: horns curling like crowns, barbed tails, and glowing predatory eyes. Their rough, leathery skin vary in shades of red and orange and are often laced with sharp spikes.
While smaller in size, these mischievious creatures cause disorder and destruction out of proportion with their stature. They excel at vocal mimicry, making them deeply irritating impressionists that can fool most people. They are also naturally adept at illusionary magic, and often disguise their appearance in order to slip into places where they are most unwanted.
Devils are almost always associated with the Cult of Rakdos as performers, while some instead enjoy the freedom of destruction that the Gruul Clans offer.
Society and Culture
Devils occupy a precarious position in Ravnica. They are universally mistrusted, yet their talents for deception make then invaluable to those who seek to undermine and subvert their enemies.
One will scarcely see a Devil in their true form outside of any Rakdos event or Gruul raid. Wandering around the streets as they naturally look will likely draw deep suspicion from everyone around them, or at worst become a victim of violence. Instead, Devils tend to mask their appearance as existing or made up individuals to get around the city, while employing their uncanny mimicry to change their voices in order to avoid any unwanted attention.
Most Devils will remain in the employment of the Cult of Rakdos, as servants behind the scenes, as opening acts to the main event, or the subject of a gruesome and deadly performance. As such, many Devils are often seen as expendable props to enhance an event, or as lowly workers to clean up after it is done. Cunning leaders, however, will find that Devils offer much more than cheap labor.
Many guilds as, a result of a Devil's cunning and subterfuge, have put into place measures to sniff out if a Devil has infiltrated their ranks. Their silver tongues make them extremely dangerous to the order and structures of the other Guilds, and Rakdos himself has often used Devils to sow chaos and distrust, or to gather sensitive information.
Devils tend to worship Mogis, God of Slaughter as their patron god. His philosphy of killing and destruction goes hand in hand with the natural tendencies of a Devil. Though Devils aren't as strong as Mogis would like, he still appreciates their large appetite for murder. Another typical god that Devils worship is Phenax, God of Deception. It's said that a Devil's gift of lying comes directly from Phenax, and he has always enjoyed watching the cunning trickery of a Devil at play.
