Mock Vampire {Common Vampires}

Mock Vampires, commonly called simply Vampires, are one of the most notorious Supernatural Races of the cosmos. They are uncommonly called Mock Vampires due to the legend of 'True' Vampires or the 'Original' Vampiric who are more closely tied to Demons and Demon Born. Their strengths and weaknesses are well documented.

Strengths

A Vampire's traits are magnified significantly compared to their natural counterparts. A Zaherian Wulf'n's already impressive strength may be enhanced several fold by simply turning. Strength, speed, durability, regeneration, all are factors that bolster a Vampire's power. The more they feed, the stronger they become. It is worth noting though that simply feeding off a couple humans will do them little. For a Vampire to gain true power they would need to consume hundreds if not thousands.

Weaknesses

Their weaknesses are fairly standard including- bursting into flames in the sun due to their lack of a soul, their powers dampening over running water, objects imbued with holy aspects (waving a normal cross will do nothing). Vampires can also die to injuries that would prove fatal for a normal human- such as having a hole ripped through their torso even if the heart is untouched.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

Vampires are capable of reproduction through standard mating like any other race, limited only by their true/natural biological factors (such as how cats and dogs can not mate). Their underlying 'natural born' race drives the genetics. Unlike Lyrian however, a child born of vampires is a half vampire with its own sets of strengths & weaknesses & conditions that depend on the natural genetics of those involved in the mating.

Growth Rate & Stages

Vampires typically do not age; though they are capable of 'adjusting' their age via consuming a lot of blood to empower them for this change. They can age down and return to their true age with blood magic; however they can not accelerate their aging- as at the time they are turned, this is the oldest they can get.

Dietary Needs and Habits

A Vampire requires blood for nutrition; however the blood does not need to be exclusively human. It is said that blood that comes from one with a soul grants a Vampire more power. It is also more desirable, offering some form of dopamine as it 'fills the void' that a Vampire simply no longer has within. Beyond this they can consume any blood from any living creature; though it appears that the blood of sentient beings offers more for them to grow in power and recover from damage.
