Leon Sycamore

Leon Sycamore, known as the Shroud of Suen, is one of the Phantom Leaders of the Dharkanians AND their acting commander. A prodigy and an unmatched force of darkness, he is atop the best of the Dharkanians and holds an initial "Flee On Sight" order even in the modern day. His prowess with Dark Energy manipulation and control are considered to be as legendary as those of his former mentor, the Ace of the Dharkanian Forces- Cortez Macabre. His strength in the dark has granted him unmatched power over the elements and many different magics. It is stated that, much like his former mentor, not a single individual has been able to defeat Leon; nor has a single soul been able to press him into going all out.   His power aside, Leon is considered legendary for his cunning and tactics. At a time when the War had reached other realms which opened many a battle front- he was commended for consistently maneuvering around and defeating his opponents, always acting at the head of his own forces to give them an edge. When the war came to an end, it was Leon's units who held out until the bitter end long after the loss of his people. To this day the Lightonians continue to hunt him, fearing the potential he holds should he ever return to a position of power.  

Appearance

A relatively average man, basic soldier build and average height. His hair is a silky mid-length brown flowing in many layers. His eyes, a burning deep amber that appears as fire depending on the lighting. His complexion is fair, well toned if not a little tan. Despite being a warrior from an era of war he holds no scars, no wrinkles, no signs of age whatsoever.   He often wears attire marked by the Dharkanians- black garbs with the red star pattern. Generally these uniforms include light armor and some sorcerer robes. Other times he will wear long coats and 'fine' Victorian-era outfits. Usually he adopts fine furs, silvery and gray generally.   He keeps himself well composed, well dressed, and fine smelling. He believes firmly in looking the part of a leader, and of course acting it.  

Personality

His personality, despite his fearsome reputation, is rather lax. While yes- he will most certainly act the part of a rabid blood thirsty cur towards his opponents, he prefers a more laid back and diplomatic approach. This all said he is not afraid to throw down and at times will jump straight into a fight depending on the circumstance and his instincts. He does hold an air of arrogance, well deserved for his power; though is always willing to consider the possibility of being out maneuvered by smarter opponents.   He puts great faith in the ability of the newer generations to eventually surpass the war-hardened generation of which he is a part. He prefers diplomacy when given the opportunity, to out-think his foes rather than brute forcing; unlike many a leader during the warring era who put their total faith in combat prowess. While he acts well composed he can not stand sheer ignorance and stupidity, especially when small oversights cost the mission and is totally avoidable. He does have a temper, and while he may lash out he rarely does so with the intent to severely injure or kill, merely to instill a lesson.   He detests the Lightonians and the current ruling powers of the world. He sees the corruption and misery they allow as a failure that needs to be corrected. To him their apparent arrogance and faith in their abilities and decisions is beyond insulting.  

Abilities

The specifics about Leon's abilities are unknown. Having been considered a prodigy of the last generation of warriors AND having been taught by the legendary Cortez Macabre, it can be inferred that Leon is indeed powerful. Rumors of his power swell to the current day, potentially as propaganda but this is of course unproven. Many state that he is invincible, a master of the elements to an extent that he can shape the very maps themselves.   His knowledge of dark magic and spells is also rumored to be extensive.  

Background

Leon started his career in the latter stages of the Warring Era of the Lightonians and Dharkanians. For centuries he grew in his power, first learning under Cortez Macabre. He fought battle after battle as an elite warrior before becoming a Phantom after less than a single century. From there he led many campaigns both within Sillith and later the wider verse. Majority of the time he was stated to be unmatched both in direct combat and at a game of strategy.   Leon DID disappear in the latter days following the Dharkanian defeat and has continued to be hunted since. He is considered the Lightonian's most wanted fugitive, with a flee-on-sight order in place for all except a well composed Dragon-General Task Force. Some believe that Leon has been biding his time, waiting for the day to strike out and renew the Dharkanian's efforts.  

Character Facts

Leon is considered the Living Embodiment of Death itself by Holly Bell, as the latter has fought Leon before. Leon's level of dark control and the amount of power he wields is so vast that most are afraid to face him 1v1.   In the pilot Leon took a back seat to Cylux, allowing the masked agent to play the part of destroyer DUE to Cylux's knowledge of the Lightonian's inner workings (partially due to Cylux's many agents).
