Throne of the Lord

Introduction

Located inside a hollowed out and partially excavated mountain, the Throne of the Lord is a massive trainyard-turned-Depot that functions as the stationary seat of power for the Lord of the Rails. Unlike the multi-Sophontic inhabitants of other Depots, the Throne's population is primarily Railkeepers and Old Folk who are tasked with the maintenance and fueling of the Last Engine.

History

Trainyard (322 tb)

The original foundation of the Throne was to function as the start of the "Lord's Rail", a massive railway that would cross the oceans and connect Ashlend to Westlend. As the project grew, the Lord of the Rails and his many engineers decided that they had enough space within the Throne to be railstation, trainyard, and factory in one location.

Reliquarium (328 tb)

Considered the true founding of the Depot, the Dormition Reliquarium is transfered by ship across from Spire all the way to the Last Pit. Once installed, work on the Last Engine begins.

First Depot (6 sf)

As the Last Engine began its eternal ride across the Great Railway, the Throne of the Lord becomes the first Depot of Hallus.
