Madgar- Port Caford

City History, Culture, Trade and Description   Port Caford is a small port town far off the beaten path. Its people are mostly fishermen and foragers who benefit from the occasional merchant ships that would bring grains, tools and other goods from the south in exchange for fish and meat that the citizens hunt in the area, as well as the thick and sturdy wood from the Northern Timberlands.    Important Characters   Jarl Geirmi- A burly human man, he has curly black hair and brown eyes, and a thick beard. He wears well-made clothing and a pewter amulet. Geirmi is cultured but lazy, having grown very accustomed to his comfortable position. He is also in debt and the treasury is empty, having spent the last of it paying for Piersym's excursion in a desperate attempt to find a new hoard of wealth.   Champion- Holdga is a sturdily built dwarven woman, who has silver hair and grey eyes. She wears chain mail and wields a wicked spear. Holdga compulsively scratches an old scar on her arm.   Shawman- Reda is a beautiful human woman, fair in appearance, with white hair and green eyes. She wears fine raiment and a silver holy symbol of nature. Reda has an animal companion, a hunting dog named Trokri.   Local Quests
  • The ship Arrow of Avernus is under repairs in port after being attacked by a sea serpent. Piersym, who has hired the ship, is hiring any mercenaries able and willing to protect the ship and escort him through the Northern Wastes on his quest to find the lost Dwarven city of Atlan.
  • The dragon Ice Wind and its brood has been attacking ships passing through the area, and jarl Geirmi has put a bounty on its head, promising favor to anyone who is willing to kill it (and bring back its hoard).
