Description |

Amphibious (Ex): Morpholk can breath both water and air. Metamorphosis (Ex): Morpholk can take one minute to transform from having a tail to having legs or vice-versa. In water, this transformation takes half the time. Blindsight - 5ft. (Ex): Becaus of their "hair", Morpholk can feel what is immediately arround them. Low-Light vision (Ex): Morpholk can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of shadowy illumination. It retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. A Morpholk spellcaster with low-light vision can read a scroll as long as even the tiniest candle flame is next to her as a source of light. +2 Listen underwater (Ex): Because their ears are built to hear underwater, Morpholk can take advantage of sound passing easier through water. They are also not hindered by water-logged ears as other humanoids would be. CombatMorpholk will typically try to talk their way out of combat first, but just as with humans, you get your occasional combat-happy Morpholk. |
Basic Information
Anatomy
Morpholk are often mistaken for Merfolk, as they have very similar anatomies. However, what separates Morpholk from the Merfolk is their ability to undergo instant metamorphosis. While many believe this to be a use of the change self spell, it is not, merely a physical change of appearance and ability. Morpholk have many of the same traits as Merfolk, but their biggest difference is that they can, at will, turn their tail into a pair of legs.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Morpholk, like other humanoids, are Omnivorous, eating plants and animals alike.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Just as with Sirens, Morpholk "hair" is actually an extra-sensory organ, which is why you will never see an adult Morpholk with "hair" that does not reach their waist. Otherwise, they retain the same normal 5 senses as other mammals.
