Feyun

Having no central nation that Feyun can call home, they can be found anywhere. They are usually found at taverns entertaining people, but they are sometimes found in wilderness glades protecting the forest from those who wish to destroy it.

Personality: Feyun are a merry bunch, but the people in general have a certain sadness that they are born with. They, like the Gnomes, like jokes and pranks, but, unlike the Gnomes, they are deeply repentant when they hurt someone’s feelings. They adore gems as Gnomes and Dwarves, but they are rarely greedy—except when it comes to jewelry. They covet jewelry like the Second Coming. They adore the woodlands like the Elves. They are a peace—driven people, and they will go to war to bring peace.

Alignment: Feyun love freedom like the elves, and they tend toward good as they are a more peace—driven people. They are rarely lawful, but a Feyun paladin is a much revered person among the Feyun.

Feyun Lands: Feyun do not have lands because of their two Great Wars before and after their Golden Age. Therefore, they dwell in mostly other racially dominant areas or secluded in the woodlands.

Religion: Feyun revere and worship Foret, who created them as her first creatures, above all others, but if they have any “secondary” deities, they would be Lebn, Natre, and The Traveler.

Language: Feyun speak Sylvan, having learned it from their woodland friends long ago, and common.

Adventurers: Feyun are a restless and wandering race. Sometimes they find adventure, but more likely adventure finds them.

Subraces

There are few subraces of Feyun. They are as follows:

Dark Feyun (Necrumanci)

Not a playable race.

Deep Feyun (Eau)

The Aquatic version of the Feyun. The Deep Feyun are a reclusive but cheerful race. Some scholars believe that Deep Feyun (as opposed to Aquatic Elves or Mermaids) are the origin of the Siren legends. Deep Feyun are similar in look and culture as well as mannerisms to the Surface Feyun. However, they do not have the same racial traits.

Terra Feyun (Terre)

Terre are the subterranean version of the Feyun. Terre have the base Fayun traits with the following exceptions:

  • No Low-Light Vison, Darkvision: Terre can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and Terre can function just fine with no light at all.
  • +2 Search instead of Spot. Living in the Dark, the Terre have learned how to find things.

Feyun are very in tune with nature, and it is not uncommon to see them meditating in the woods clothelss, but they understand the need for modesty amongst others, especially strangers.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Feyun get along well with gnomes because of their shared love of precious gems and jewelry, and they both love jokes and pranks. They get along well with Halflings and Kender, for their love of jokes, but they think Kender take the jokes to far complaining that they were innocent of all the wrongs they do. They find Hobbits not at all fun and boring as do most races on Rasani. They get along well with Dwarves for their shared interest in gems, and shared disdain of  Necromancy, their only sticking point with Gnomes, but they do think half—dwarves need some refining. Elves and half—elves, they get along fine with, for their shared love of nature and freedom. They view half—orcs with as much suspicion as the elves do.
