Guardian Angels

Have you ever heard a whisper telling you not to sneak a cookie from Grandma's jar? Have you ever felt bad about knocking your friend into the Mud? That is your Guardian Angel talking to you. Each Guardian Angel is assigned a single Mortal to watch over for the Mortal's entire life. Guardian Angels are the lowest and most common Choir of Angels, but can be quite powerful when their charge is threatened.

Combat

Guardian Angels prefer to keep themselves hidden unless a supernatural being is trying to gain power over or possess their charge, and even then, they try to keep the battle on the Astral Plane so as to not risk physical injury of their charge. But when forced to fight in the material, Guardian Angels tend to forget about their spells and abilities and fight with their blade and shield. When they do remember their other abilities, though, they are quite formidable.

Deliver a Message (Su): Besides being the actual being to deliver a Message, Guardian Angels have the ability to instantaneously teleport to a being they are ordered to by their Power. Messages delivered by a Guardian Angel have the weight that comes with a Celestial Being delivering a Message, and adds a +5 circumstance bonus to any diplomacy checks made within a year to get that person to follow the instructions in the Message. The recipient must not be evil or chaotic, and must fail a Will save (DC = 10 + sender's HD*.25).

Alter Self (Sp): At will, a Guardian Angel can alter its form to match the race of its charge. Guardian Angels can take either a Male or Female form, but they prefer the Male form. They can also Alter their clothes to blend in where they are. See the spell description in the Player's Handbook for more details

Guardian (Su): When acting in its role as a Guardian Angel, the Guardian Angel gets the following powers:

Invisibility: The Guardian can stay Invisible indefinitely without concentration. Turning this power on and off is a free action.

Astral Projection: The Guardian may, At Will remove its current combat to the Astral Plane. Anyone that is within Reach of the Guardian, its Charge, or the Guardian or Charge is within Reach of, that the Guardian chooses, is instantly corporeally transported to the Astral Plane. When combat is over, or the Guardian chooses, all combatants return to the Plane of Origin, if still on the Astral Plane. Note: This power does not work on ANY of the Transitive Planes (Astral, Ethereal, Shadow, Mirror, or Spirit World)

Guardian's Luck: The Guardian Angel receives a luck bonus to all saves, attacks, damage rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and spells equal to the Charge's HD ÷ 4 (min +4). The Guardian also receives a deflection bonus to AC equal to the Luck bonus.

Spells: A Guardian Angel may cast spells from the Angel Spell List as a 4th level cleric with the Law and Good domains
