This staff comes with 40 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 charge from the staff and cause it to create one of the following sounds out to a range of 600 feet: a finch’s chirp, a raven’s caw, a duck’s quack, a chicken’s cluck, a goose’s honk, a loon’s call, a turkey’s gobble, a seagull’s cry, an owl’s hoot, or an eagle’s shriek. After expending all 40 charges you may continue to use the staff, but after each use roll a d20 : on a 1, the staff explodes in a harmless cloud of bird feathers and is lost forever.

This wand comes with 40 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges and create a harmless burst of multicolored light at a point you can see up to 150 feet away. The burst of light is accompanied by a crackling noise that can be heard up to 300 feet away. The light is as bright as a torch flame but lasts only a second. After expending all 40 charges you may continue to use the staff, but after each use roll a d20 : on a 1, the wand erupts in a harmless pyrotechnic display and is destroyed.

If you place an object weighing no more than 1 pound (such as a shard of crystal, an egg, or a stone) above the tip of the staff while holding it, the object floats an inch from the staff’s tip and remains there until it is removed or until the staff is no longer in your possession. The staff can have up to one pound's worth of such objects floating over its tip at any given time. While holding the staff, you can make one or more of the objects slowly spin or turn in place.

For the next minute, you know the direction of the nearest creature hostile to you within 60 feet, but not its distance from you. The wand can sense the presence of hostile creatures that are ethereal, invisible, disguised, or hidden, as well as those in plain sight. The effect ends if you stop holding the wand. After expending all 40 charges you may continue to use the wand, but after each use roll a d20 : on a 1, the wand erupts into harmless red fire and is destroyed.

While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spellcasting ability modifier: cure wounds (1 charge per spell level, up to 4th), lesser restoration (2 charges), or mass cure wounds (5 charges). After expending all 40 charges you may continue to use the staff, but after each use roll a d20 : unless your roll is greater than the number of charges used by the spell you cast, the staff vanishes in a flash of light, lost forever.

Can only be attuned by a spellcaster. This wand comes with 40 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cause a thin blue ray to streak from the tip toward a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. At the end of each of the target's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. After expending all 40 charges you may continue to use the wand, but after each use roll a d20 : on a 1, the wand becomes a nonmagical dried snakeskin and crumbles.

Can only be attuned by a spellcaster. Each time you cast a spell with this rod as your spell focus, roll d4-2 and add or subtract the result from your spell attack rolls and saving throw DCs for that spell. In addition, you can regain 1 spell slot as an action while holding the rod. You can’t use this property again until you finish a long rest. If you are a warlock and this rod was given to you by your fae patron, you may use this property twice between long rests instead of once.
