In the annals of Raios, the Great Cataclysm stands as a tragic dark chapter in its long history, forever altering the course of nations and reshaping the very fabric of the world we see today. 1,252 years ago, tragic events unfolded, that ultimately led to the unleashing of the Great Cataclysm and the destruction of a large portion of Raios. 

For four years prior to the Great Cataclysm, the Great War raged.     And with a final escalation, the Great War tipped into Cataclysm.     In the wake of the cataclysm, Raios finds itself still on the path to recovery 1251 years later. The northern kingdoms, particularly Arnheim, have thrived, transforming wilderness into thriving civilizations with stable governments. However, farther south, progress has been slower, with some former kingdoms still in a state of total collapse, while others show little signs of their former glory. The Valmyrrian Empire emerging relatively unscathed, stands as a beacon of resilience in a world still grappling with the consequences of the Great Cataclysm.    As Raios strives to rebuild, the scars of the cataclysm remain etched on the land and its people's memories, an important testament to the devastating consequences of the misuse of magic and the fragile balance that holds the world together.
