The World Codex tree
The World Codex tree is available from that bullet list icon on the left of every page. And it is also embedded on the home page and on every category landing page.
Note that when you click a category in the Codex tree (shown with a folder icon) the category will "open" in the tree, showing the content within the category, including further subcategories (shown with a folder icon) and articles (shown as hyperlinks with a document icon). Note also that on mouseover an "Open category page" icon is available to the right of each category folder shown in the tree. When you click that you will navigate directly to that category's landing page. The tree embedded on each category page offers just articles in the current category and its subcategories.
The World Codex tree is especially powerful from the left-side button because it includes, there, ALL categories, subcategories and pages in the ENTIRE site. That's also true from the tree embedded on the home page. And an extra feature only available from that tree embedded on the home page is that when you click categories or subcategories in the tree there you will see an in-line preview of that category to the right, without navigating off of the home page:
