Raios at RavenCon this weekend!
"And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor"
That is Poe, of course, from the last stanza of The Raven.
Why doth I quote The Raven?
Well, because our Friday Fun Raios release is at RavenCon, in Richmond - birthplace and home of Poe!!!
Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday I will be running two of our free Raios adventures there. Fun ones, I know, from running them a bunch!
Shadowdark, this time: my new favorite game.
Shadowdark is a fast, fun melding of the best of modern 5E and of classic 2E. It's especially good as a con game: easy to pick up and play, and fast and efficient at an open table with a bunch of players - even new ones. 10 players? 12? No problem! Try that in 5E or PF2. ;)
Say hello if you're there!
The image above? Alzahar! Alzahar is one of the Learned Ones, or gods who visited Raios to instruct the inhabitants in various esoteric fields of knowledge. The ultimate master of arcane magic, ancient legends claim that it was Alzahar who first taught the elves arcane magic.
