Nhar'anor

Nhar'anor, the Shimmering City, is the capital of the Realm of Nhal. It is the most populous city in Nhal and the second grandest city on the entire sub-continent after Sollg'anor, the capital of Soll.  

History

Founding

When Nhar'anor was founded is not known but it was long before the Ruin. It was founded by Aldrai explores from the city of Nalrun. By the end of the Aldrai Realm Nhar'anor had grown in to a sprawling city and was the center of the colonies in Nhal. Only the port city of En'Ralnu rivaled Nhar'anor as it was the key gateway between the Nhal colonies and the homeland where all the riches flowed through.  

The Ruin

The Ruin hit all the colonies hard, losing the homeland and millions of lives, relatives and countrymen. Anarchy and chaos reigned for a while until the legendary Navael, 1st Matriarch of the Nhal and the Nhalrai, rode forth from her home of Nhar'anor to bring stability and order. Navael united the now former colonies of Nalrun in the mountains and valleys of Nhal and formed the Realm of Nhal with Nhar'anor as its capital.   During this period Nhar'anor would ascend and cement itself as the greatest city of Nhal as the old port city of En'Ralnu would decline over time as it was now longer the gateway it used to be.
