Irenik Trueheart

Lord Irenik Trueheart was a former High Commander and former head of the Trueheart family, father to Isa Trueheart and grandfather to Eriya, Rina and Arika.   Irenik served as a High Commander of Soll under Patriarch Eldrak Blader during the Great Invasion. Irenik is remembered as a hero of the Great Invasion, a brilliant warrior and commander. Eryk Dawn considered him to be one of the best warriors and commanders of his time.  

Appearance and Character

Irenik took after his fathers blue-green eyes and gold-blonde hair which in his later years turned white and silver. He was described, even at a old age, to have been a tall and strong man. Irenik greatly loved his daughters and granddaughters. Arika remembers him fondly as a kind, warm and loving grandfather who often played with his grandkids. Eryk described that he could be stern and serious but also very kind and understanding. Isa always remembered him as a happy, kind and loving father and remained that even after the death of her sister, but Isa knew that he hid his feelings and grieved deeply.  

History

Early Life

Irenik was born in the end of the 95th century to Eriyon Trueheart and Sinri Sunvale, the sister of the currant Patriarch. Unlike his father who had a humble youth, Irenik was the son of now a Lord and grew up a Lord's son.   Irenik, like many youths, joined the army at a young age. He did grow up in relative peaceful times with no real all out war fought until later in his life. Irenik however showed great competence in leading people and was a skilled warrior from a young age. Some time after the succession of Eldrak Blader to Patriarch, year 9761, Irenik was made a High Commander of the Armies of Soll, but his true skills would not be tested until 9961 with the Great Invasion.  

The Great Invasion

The early parts of the Great Invasion are generally considered a disaster on the side of the sollrai. Losing more than a third of their land in four decades and letting the nhalrai host slip through and besiege a nearly defenseless Sollg'anor. Irenik is however remembered for many of his exploits and victories during the war.   The tide of the war turned after the Siege of Sollg'anor, year 9999, to the favor of the sollrai, but it would take over one and a half century after all lost land was retaken and the nhalrai pushed out of Soll.  

Later Life

After the Great Invasion was repelled and the war won, Irenik retired as High Commander the reason, after losing his oldest daughter in the Siege of Sollg'anor, wanting to spend more time with his daughter and family. Irenik was one of the people recommending that Eryk Dawn as a candidate for the next Patriarch and remained an advisor to Eryk during his early years as Patriarch.
