Rajas

Rajas – The Exile's Cradle & Spirit's Rebirth

Elemental Alignment: Spirit (Zhuma) (Hybrid-born from Ramide & Mmirabe)
Dominant Root: zhu
Cultural Affinity: Exiles, Dream-born, Truthwalkers
Capital City: Rajzhu ("City of the Remembered Waters")

Geography

Geography

Rajas rests in a low-lying valley cradled between the crumbled fire-borderlands and what remains of southern Mmirabe. It is laced with dried riverbeds, ancient vines, and forgotten temples.

Though dry and broken in terrain, the land pulses with spiritual frequency. Many believe Rajas lies directly atop old spiritual laylines that used to stretch from Ramide to Tamash.

The Temple of Echoes lies partially buried here—its resonance still felt deep in the dust.

Ecosystem

Ecosystem

The environment is brittle, cracked, and wind-carved—but deceptively rich with dream-root fungi, resonant stones, and mirage plants that hide themselves from those without stillness.

The sky often appears cloudless yet hums with unseen motion. Certain plants bloom only under spirit moonlight or in the presence of ide with Zhuma affinity.

Ecosystem Cycles

Ecosystem Cycles

Rajas doesn’t follow seasons—it follows truth cycles, periods when the land itself begins to pulse, triggering collective memory recall in its people.

Every 9 years, a Resonant Pulse spreads across Rajas, causing lucid dreams, ancestral visions, and spiritual surges. Ide often describe this as a "calling from the roots."

Localized Phenomena

Localized Phenomena

  • Dreamfall Rains – Showers that cause vivid prophetic dreaming when absorbed by the skin
  • The Breathing Ground – A patch of land that rises and falls with pulse-like rhythm during the solstice
  • Whisper Loam – A soil that echoes your footsteps days after you’ve walked it

Climate

Climate

Semi-arid but unusually cool at night. Wind carries both sand and sound, often mistaken for voices.

Occasional pulses of heat trigger temporary spirit mirages—visions not of the future, but of ancestral memory.

Fauna & Flora

Flora & Fauna

  • Vareth Thorn – Plant that only blooms during dreaming
  • Mirage Hound – A creature only visible when you're asleep
  • Echo Bats – Reverberate memory waves across distances
  • Rujiji Vines – Used in memory ceremonies to connect weavers in shared dreams

Natural Resources

Natural Resources

  • Spirit-root dust
  • Echo stone
  • Whisper loam
  • Resonance chimes (naturally formed wind instruments)

History

History

Rajas is not ancient—it is reborn.

It began as a spiritual refugee zone, carved from broken pieces of lands that no longer accepted their own. Exiled ide from Ramide and Mmirabe found common ground, uniting their shared grief into a force of healing.

It was here the first Whisperers emerged, those who refused to let the truth die. They rebuilt spiritual archives from memory alone. Some say Valode Medu's line traces back to this first diaspora—a seed planted by Zhuma and watered by Rumira.

The Council has attempted many times to wipe Rajas clean, but each destruction has only carved it deeper into the soul of Rahmori.

Tourism

Tourism

Not a tourist destination by any common measure.

Rajas is a rite of passage, not a retreat. Those who come must walk without questions and leave without answers—only fragments of themselves rearranged.

Many return changed. Some never leave. A few disappear entirely—absorbed by the roots of truth itself.
