The Lopek family is one of the noble houes of Lonereach, and a founding family of the city. They have ties to the mercantile guild of Lonereach, as well as having financial ties with the guild of mariners that the city holds.
It is said that the family was instrumental in founding the city of Noreach.
The party does not yet know any members of this family in person.
Nightfall Festival
The Lopeks hold a yearly banquet at the eve of the 30th of Coldheart, also known as Nightfall. With this, the family celebrates a successfull year for Lonereach, and marks the beginning of the week of darkness. The party usually involves the High Society of Lonereach, including the most prominent figures of the noble houses, guilds and organizations in Lonereach, as well as prestigious groups of adventurers and rich members of society, and typically lasts for at least 20 hours, if not more.
The Heart of the Cargue
When confronting the remnants of the rat tails, a tieves' guild and splinter group of the
Five-fingered hand, the party has learned that the Lopek family has found a strange orb, and asked Rector
Ibenthal to analyse it. Apparently, they think that the orb is connected to a place in the Carge, which is colloquially called the Haeart of the Cargue. They believe that they can use the magical powers of this place to forge magical artifacts, reviving the artifact trade that made Lonereach rich in the first place. However, the rat tails believe that this may awaken an ancient evil that has the power to destroy Lonereach.
