Flamans

Hailing from the Flam Isles, this race of mildly dark-skinned, smallish and dark-haired men and women have created a rich culture of art and poetry, with strong influences from the cultures of old. The Flamans themselves, however, are a warmongering race of great empires and honor, nobility and discipline. They conquered large areas of Teraloth, and sometimes even try to invade Knorkalith, but usually are thrown back by the strong empires that the old continent hosts. Their military tactics are swift and graceful, honor is to them what bread is for others and they take pride in everything they do. Their nobles are called “Kherani” and are an elite caste of knights, scholars, priests and bards that enjoy great respect among the commons. Their armies are large and mobile, and many prominently Flaman countries have mandatory military service for every citizen and commoner. They build houses out of dried bricks and make their rooftops out of ceramics, as these materials are good against enemy arrows. Their buildings hold long times, and the layouts of their cities usually follow the same principles. Efficiency is what describes them best.
