Synthra

Synthra, the Primal Deity of Innovation and Tradition, attuned to the elemental powers of Stone, and symbolizing the harmony between long-established customs and groundbreaking concepts. This deity embodies the delicate equilibrium between upholding the legacies of the past and embracing visionary ideas for the future, representing the ongoing conversation between what has been and what could be.   Synthra’s symbol, a stone archway intricately carved with ancient runes and modern designs, represents a gateway between ages. It stands not only as a testament to the enduring strength of tradition but also as a canvas for the ever-evolving expressions of innovation. This archway is found at the entrance of every temple dedicated to Synthra, serving as a literal and metaphorical passage through which worshippers walk, reminded of the harmonious blend of old and new.   The influence of Synthra is profoundly felt across Raelvo, especially in places where the old and new worlds intersect. In cities where ancient cobblestones meet sleek new designs, and in universities where scholars translate time-worn manuscripts using the latest techniques, Synthra's essence fosters a respect for historical wisdom while encouraging the pursuit of progressive ideas.   Sites of great historical significance are often chosen as the location for temples dedicated to Synthra. These can range from battlegrounds where important battles were fought, to small plots of land where influential figures once met. These temples serve as hubs of cultural fusion and are adorned with artifacts representing the local history of the area. Within these temples, a blend of traditional and innovative practices take place, such as composing modern hymns with classical instruments and using ancient parables to enhance one's understanding.   Followers of Synthra are few and far throughout the world of Raelvo, but can be reliably found throughout the new world. The continent of Kho'as has been a beacon of innovation through the discovery of ancient ruins found in near every corner of the continent. These ruins have set off a chain of events leading to the birth of a new era in Kho'as, one characterized by a wave of enlightenment that marries the wisdom of yore with the innovative and industrious spirit of the present. Synthra's disciples have been at the forefront of this movement, unearthing secrets from these ruins and using these revelations to advance their society.   A special kinship has formed between the followers of Maridra and Synthra as followers of both of these deities see each other as comrades in the pursuit of understanding the world better. The followers of Maridra, the Primal Deity of Knowledge and Mysteries, often align themselves with Synthra's disciples in unfolding the truths hidden beneath the layers of time. In truth, many followers in both camps tend to worship both Maridra and Synthra. The spirit of intellectual curiosity binds these two groups together, turning them into an effective and respected alliance across not only Kho’as, but all of Raelvo.   In the modern age of Raelvo, worship of Synthra is still new and raw, but grows steadily as more colonists arrive upon the shores of Kho’as and more return to the old world. New settlements look to Synthra for guidance in blending the tried-and-true methods of the old world with novel approaches suited to new lands. Explorers and settlers carry symbols of Synthra, often smaller stone arches etched with designs both ancient and new, as talismans that inspire balanced judgment and creative solutions.   Thus, Synthra, not only stands as a guardian of cultural integrity but also as a beacon of innovation, guiding Raelvo through each era with a steady, unifying hand, ensuring that as the world changes, it does so with respect for its roots and an eye towards sustainable growth.
