Reincarnation

Your life may have ended, but it doesn't have to be the end of the story...

You touch a dead humanoid or a piece of a dead humanoid. Provided that the creature has been dead no longer than 10 days, the spell creates a protoplasmic cocoon within which a new adult body is formed. If the target's soul isn't free or willing to do so, the spell fails and the material components are lost. This spell is pursuant to the dangers of resurrection (see Resurrection In Raan), so be wary.

When the spell is cast, the GM rolls on the following table to determine what category of body it will return as. The soul to be reincarnated knows what category of body it will return as, and may select any specific race and gender from within that category; it may also elect not to return, but as noted above this still consumes the material components of the spell.

Between the cleansing effects of the Void and the creation of an entirely new body, it is not unheard of for subjects of Reincarnation to suffer a bit of memory loss. This is especially true when the soul suffered a gruesome or traumatic death.

As some who are reincarnated emerge as both a drastically different race and a completely different gender, this can make ones own memories seem hazy and indistinct. Those who return as a race and gender similar to the one they died as seem to suffer from this effect the least.

Normally only Druids have access to this spell, but certain nature-aligned casters of other classes, such as Oath of the Ancient paladins and Glamour Bards have been known to gain access to this spell as well. It's unknown who is responsible for this, and the Druids certainly aren't telling.
