Krees
They say all art is created equal. You see normally, when you create a work of art, you've got a 50-50 chance of creating a masterpiece. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal. So I got a 25% of crapping out. Then you add economic factors, including the fact that I make my own artistry tools that are masterpieces in and of themselves, and you know I'm gonna be savvy. So I've got a 125-and-two-thirds chance at making a peerless work of art! THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE!!!
Notable Denizens of Raan (Artistic)
It is our great pleasure to introduce Krees, the Goblin Virtuoso.
History
Goblins With Fat Asses ain't got nothing on me! These cheeks DO NOT QUIT!!!
At one time, Krees was nothing so much as a young goblin trying desperately to survive in his goblin tribe. As a young child, he adored fashioning totems and flags for the raiders of the tribe, but the politics of war resulted in his exile.
Having to make his way on his own, he turned to mercenary work. Brutal and unforgiving, his talent for artistry was leveraged to the recreation of liveries and banners, allowing the company with which he had been sold to access into the hearts of their enemies' camps. They looted and pillaged and it was at this point that Krees began his love affair with proper oil paints when it was discarded as useless and thrown out right where Krees could take it and use it.
With no particular loyalty to the mercenary company that had bought him, and new access to paints and the possibility of new places to explore, our goblin found his way into a group of traveling bards. Quickly showing his artistry, Krees blossomed as a painter, rendering beautiful backdrops and even artistic renderings of new clothing and characters. For once, his successes earned him proper praise, and were appreciated as the works of art they were.
Each success brought more accolades, and each accolade afforded him more access to rare pigments and well-made canvases. His first properly commissioned painting was the late Queen of Ulric, a masterpiece that took him days to paint, but has Her Majesty towering twenty feet tall in exquisite detail.
About Krees
I don't just make excellence, I START with excellence and just get better from there!
Krees has developed a reputation for peerless artistry, for immodest clothing to show off his impressive physique, and for his manic and bombastic personality . An exceptionally impressive physical specimen, Krees has a love of physical fitness that shows in the peerless physicality he has been able to achieve. Heavily muscled and often oiled by assistants, Krees spends most of his time in a simple codpiece, with ankle and wrist wraps that have elbow and knee pads attached, the better to allow him to kneel or lie down during his extended painting sessions while looking fabulous for the ladies.
Recently, he has been earning additional revenue selling his personally constructed brushes, which are apparently fashioned from specially cured spider silk. The painted likes his brushes are able to create are nothing short of sublime, and many years have gone by with others trying to replicate his special brushes with little success.
