Korjuv Highlands
The Korjuv mountains stretch nearly all the way across Nakun, from east to west. They are wondrous places, filled with crashing waterfalls, windswept forests, glacial fjords, and fertile valleys. Inhabited mostly by the subterranean dwarves and the nomadic herder Korjuv, numerous high elf enclaves also exist in hidden valleys, separated from the rest of the world. It is a dramatic landscape, and the setting of many ancient epics of heroes and villains. Flowers in alpine meadows wave in the wind, and the sun streams down onto caravans traveling along the Ashonee Trails. From many places in the mountains, you can see far into the tundra North, and all the way to the south the other way. Deer, rabbits, and other fauna inhabit this place, as well as the fearsome yeti and the deadly blood hawk. Few permanent towns have been established here, but the ones that have often see bands of Korjuv and dwarves come to trade their wares.

History
They were originally inhabited by only dwarves shortly after creation, but after the high elves split into the Argentomi and the Auri, the Auri established many monastic enclaves in the mountains, isolating themselves from the outside world. Later, the Kodori (Korjuv) took refuge here during the reign of the Jokanen Empire before rising up and overthrowing the foreign kingdom.
