It’s like a universe heavily based on quantum physics. A sphere is the ultimate shape. There are giant bubbles (bubnets) representing whole areas, each of the size of a small country, but entirely spherical - there is black matter between them, and everyone travels by either teleportation or by the energy tunnels (interbubnet) that resemble links between the atoms. The tunnels transport matter on Quark Pods with the speed of light from one end to another; the richest have private bubble ships called Superstring Skiffs, that can travel between the bubnets (bubble planets) outside of the interbubnet, but they use so much energy it’s frowned upon and the universal board (the government of this world) are openly planning to delegalise them, unless there are presented with a new sustainable source of energy able to power them without depleting the bubnets of their valuable energy sources.

Quantum physics is the base of society, children learn it before they learn to walk, it’s just a second nature to everyone as the whole world is desperate to find a better way to power their worlds.
